EVERYBODY'S THEATRE

The chief pictare of the new series introduced at Everybody's Theatre yesterday is an exciting drama entitled "Tiie Maelstrom." A millionaire clubman, Jimmie Hallett, while walking along a dark street one evening, has a package thrust into his hands by a strange girl, of whom he catches but a mere glimpse. He reads tho address on the parcel and proceeds to deliver' it. He enters a largo room, and is felled from behind. When ho recovers consciousness he finds that an old man who has been murdered is lying dead in the same room. The police investigate the matter, and next day bring tho girl to Hallett to bo identified. Hallett refuses to identify her, and strange adventures follow. Hallett and the girl aro shadowed from place to place. In response to a note from the girl, Hallett goes to a certain house, but is dropped two storeys through a Again the detectives rescue him. The girl has all the timo been acting' with a view to shielding her brother, who she thought was concerned in the murder, but it is discovered that he is innocent", and that two members of a gang of crooks were tho real criminals. The eleventh chapter of "The Iron Cflaw" serial, entitled "The Saving of Dan O'Hara," advances this exciting story of adventure a further stage towards completion.
