FOOD CONTROL
BREAD AND FLOUR PRICES.

In an interview in London, Lord Rhondda, Britain's Food Controller, said that Britain expected to spend £40,000,000 annually to keep bread and flour prices at a reasonable figure. Since the British Government had controlled the wheat trade it had sold wheat and flour practically at cost.

LONDON, September 7.
Owing to the Irish butter and bacon producers refusing to do business on the Food Controller's prices, Mr Douglas Carson, assistant manager of the Humber Grading Company, has been arrested.
