TECHNICAL COLLEGE MANAGERS.
The monthly meeting of the Technical College Board of Managers was held yester-d-iv afternoon, Mr T. Scott occupying the chair.
I The Director's report dealt chiefly with the typographical class and its acoommodai tion. In this latter respect certain adjustj ments in portion of the building' were required which oould, in the director's opinion, be executed by members of the woodworking class. The director also in. his statement observed that certain of the evening classes had not boon as well attended as might be expected, which went to show that a number of the students failed to recognise that there were oonditions governing the Issue of free places. If these conditions were not complied with then consequently the students affected would suffer some em barrassment. s - The board agreed to adopt the report, and to refer the matters affecting the i typogranh : cal class to the committee dealing with the pol ; cy of the bonrd as affectin o- this class, and also to the Finance Comm:ttco, with power to act. The Director also intimated that he had ♦received rnformrrt'om -from an •unofficial sotirco that the grant towards the proposed •rymnasium, etc., would be paid by the Government.
