MONEY CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING. The twelfth annual meeting of members of tho Dunedin and Suburban Mutual Money Club was held in Hugh Mitchell and Co.'s office last evening. There was a fun- attendance of members. The Chairman, in moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, congratulated the members upon the continued success of the club. He stated that when the club was inaugurated 12 years ago, it was somewhat in the nature of a novelty in this part of the dominion, but the volume of the business clearly proved that the club had long passed the experimental stage. Tho chairman said that in those critical times the business of tho club demanded, and was receiving, more than the ordinary attention of the trustees and staff In coucluaion, ho expressed the hepb that the world tragedy at present being enacted mitrht soon bo a thing of the past, and that ■we might once more enter upon an era of peace and prosperity. The retiring trustees-Messrs R.. Farrant (president), W Speight, and J. S. Hisloptogether with the auditors-Messrs George TO\i aD A d n T -.- H - T hompson-were •reelected. Alterations of rules to provide for the moro expeditious working of the club and its various objects were, after consideration, carried unanimously.
