PRINCESS THEATRE

The current vaudeville programme at the Princess Theatre includes some entertaining turns of distinct merit. Geo. D'.Alma with his banjo, and Murfayne with his xylophone, provide some good music, mostly of the lighter variety. Billy Brown, the coloured entertainer, has rightly won a place as one of the theatre's great successes, and is still as popular as he was on his first appearance. Armand Triller, the maker of rag pictures, and the "Gadabout Girls," both provide good and amusing turns. Violet Trevenyon has some new songs, which she sings in her own inimitable way, which always proves irresistible with her audience. Carlton and Sutton, were responsible for much laughter and fun. The orchestral music was, as usual, a feature of the entertainment. A startling and sensational act is announced for Monday evening. This is the "Globe of Death," featuring the Dare-devil Staigs, in what the critics describe as a real thriller. Tho globe is a cage of latticed steel and within this Masto? and Miss Staig loop the loop on motor cycles, travelling at a rate' of 60 miles an hour. This is the culmination of an act which, however, also contains many feats hardly less hazardous. The Staigs will appear for one week only. The box plans for the season are open at the Bristol.
