ALLEGED NEW INVENTION. TO DIVE UNDER NETS. Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. m NEW YORK, July 22. ■ The Now York Times Washington correspondent states that an official report has been received in Washington that Germany has completed a small number of submarines capable of submerging to a depth of. 200 ft. This achievement adds to the submarine problem, as this type of submersible is able to dive under the nets. Referring to the overseas mail service Mr Webster, Postmaster-general, states that at present Australia has only a chance service. If the submarine menace continues, her position will be one of isolation.
