A fresh north-east galo was. blowing on , Saturday, and raised a • very rough "sea. Small vessels returned to port, and other vessels sheltered in. the gnlf till this morning, when the weather moderated. The Tβ Anau, which was to sail for Wellington on Saturday, sheltered till this morning. •«» The coastal cargo steamer Calm, which reached Dunedin on Saturday evening from Wanganui, via ports, is duo to leave on her return trip to-night She will carry general cargo tor Timaru, Lyttclton, Wolkagton, and Wanganui. There is a probability of the John coming to Dunedin early this week. She was due to leave Wellington on Saturday for southern ports. The Karanui, which is discharging coal at Lyttelton, will return to Westport for a further shipment of coal for Lyttelton and Timaru. The Kaituna, which reached Lyttelton on Saturday from Wellington, is to bo docked on the completion of her discharge of cargo, and she afterwards prooeeds to Westport to load coal for Auckland. The Komata was due to leave Westport on Saturday evening with a cargo o£ coal for Wellington; and the Kini was due to sail from Greyinouth about the same time also with coal for Wellington. The Kowhai was due at Timaru yesterday from Greyinouth with a cargo of coaL After discharging she returns to the coast for a cargo, of coal for Lyttelton. The Monbwai, which left Wellington for Auckland, via way ports, on Friday ovening, is expected to make the northern port to-day. She is not expected back here until next Monday. — \
