AMERICAN VISITORS
A PERSONALLY CONDUCTED TOUR, j A tour which may well prove to be of great importance to New Zealand as opening up some of the large possibilities of American tourist traffic in this country is at present beinjj undertaken by a small band of visitors from the States. Tho tour is a personally 'conducted one, and is in charge of Mr Leon L. Collver. ,Mr Collver is tho president of the Raymond and Whitcombo Company, of Boston, a tourist '< agency which sends parties all over tho I world. Ihis particular journey has been undertaken as an observation tour with the object of developing in tho future tho tourist traffic between America and Australia and New Zealand. Mr CoUvor and his party Ifinded at Auckland on April 3, but since that time a number of the party have left to return homo owing to the widening of the broach between America and Germany. Mr and Mrs Addison M. Srott arc now tho only remaining members of tho party. They j have seen Rotorua, Wa'tomo, and the W-α----nganui. and are now paying a vis : t to Nelson and the West Coast nrior- to ponvno- on I to tho southern lakes. They are expected in Thinediri on Fridiy. and will fro on, 'o Quecnsfown the followintr day.
