EVERYBODY'S THEATRE
Tho chief pictnro in tho new programme at Everybody's Theatre is "Pamela's Past," tho story of Pamela Congriove, the beautiful daughter of an old fisherwoman, Of tho care free type, whoso only desire is to be happy, Pamela is wooed and won by a Lord Charteris who. whilo allegedly a member of the nobility, is the secret loader of a band of smugglers. Charteris persuades Pamela's father to join his smuggling gang, and while the " gang is engaged in their nefarious work they aro surprised by the revenue officers. Lord Charteris and the old fisherman aro overtaken, and tho former, in order to save himself, accuses his companion of being a smuggler, at the samo time disclosing his rank. Despite Pamela's pleas, Charteris refuses to aid her father, who is put to death. The girl then goes out into the world with tho fixed intention of avenging her father's death on Charteris. The end is a satisfactory one. Charlie Chaplin in "The Hero," "The Bombardment o{ Niouport," ■ and "Henry's Thanksgiving" conclude the series.
