Anti-German demonstrations occurred on receipt of the news of the submariningof tho Argentine schooner Monto Protegido in European waters, tho mob in the streets crying : " Down with the Germans." 1 Tho war fever is growing. The mob attempted to set firo to the German Legation and Consulate, but the outbreak was soon overcome.
