Tho following aro summaries of tho reports to bo presented at Thursday's meeting of tho board:— Committee will report that Mr W. 1. Goochvin, orchard instructor has reported regarding tho proposal to establish an orchard at tho Pleasant Valley Sanatorium, and that 'Mr Ivory has been requested to submit a tender for planting and keeping the same in order. Tho tender of Mr R. Pollock for the erection of storage tank and also for repairs to plumbing work at tho sanatorium has been accepted. Iho Hospital Committee will report that during the past month fivo patients havo boon admitted to, three patients discharged ■ on ?' foiir rcniam at the fevor hospital. lne plan as submitted by the architects for converting portion of tho nurses' old home into a tuberculosis out-patients' department lias been referred to tho honorary medical staff for report, and tho architects havo been instructed to invito prices for carrying out this woik. Tho ropoit received from tho honorary medical staff in connection with temporary accommodation for mental defectives has boon refei rc-d to the special committee appointed to report in conjunction with tho chairman of the honorary medical staff (Dr Barnett) and Dr Ferguson. A report from tho honorary modical staff on tho groat urgency for provision of accommodation at Wakari at tho earliest possible moment to relievo tho congestion at the General Hospital has boon referred to the Inspector-general, with tho request to expedite the application for l»rmasion to proeecd. with the work at Wakari. Tho Finance Committee will report that tho chairman and secretary havo been authorised to report in reference to continuance of arrangements for friendly societies' bods at the Dunedin Hosnital Tho report of tho Benevolent Committee is unimportant.
