The first name in tho list of balloted men in the Dunedin recruiting district in the last, ballot, (the fifth) under tho Military Sen-ice Act was that of James Alfred .litcheson, accountant, of Cavorshani. This reservist reported for duty at Trentham as far back as September 10 last, and now holds a commission as lieutenant in D Company, 24th Reinforcements.
