At a iwblio meeting, under tho auspiooa of _ the Women's Chrutian Tcmparanoo Union to-night, resolutions were oarried urging the Government to yield without further delay to the widespread and frequently expressed demand for tho appointment of women polico, in order tliat young people in the community might sharo in thn proven advantages so afforded in many parts of (.lie Empire and otHex countries; also urging that as tho right to eloet logically carries thn right to be Government take, without delay, stops to remove the obstacles in the way of women entering Parliament, and also to thotr serving as justices of the peace; and jurors. ~ •>?:
