The scarcitv is said to be mainly due to delay in thrashing. As was expected, the oats market is weaker in consequence of Australian oats coming into the North Island, and southern oats boing offered at a cheaper rate than :■' the prices lately ruling in Canterbury. For heavy Cartons and Algerians 3s 6d to 3s Bd, and for heavy duns 3s 8d to 3s 9d at country stations is how offered. More oats i are now boing submitted to buyers, and growers are more willing to sell. & 'V :j - ; ' PROPERTY SALES. Messrs Park, Reynolds (Ltd.) submitted sev<m Harbour Board leases at auction yes terday, and in each case the lease was purchased by tho present lessee at tho upset ; rental. ' Messrs Alex. Harris and Co yesterday subrrHted by auction a small catalogue of sections in Tainui and Abbotsford. The following sites at Tainui were disposed of- '■ Sections 21-27, W, 31, 33, 35, 37, and 39, Mock V, and section 38, block 111.
