ATTEMPTED PRISON-BREAK-ING
TWO MEN PUNISHED. (Per United Pbess Association.) AUCKLAND, January 30 In the Police Court to-day Albert M'Queen and A. J. W. Roberts appeared on a charge of attempted prison-breaking M Queen, who was considered as the ringleader, was sentenced to lose marks equivalent to 12 months' remission, and Roberts to lose six months' marks. Both men were ordered to be placed on bread and water for H days,_ and to bo kept in a separate division until further orders.
