Toesdat, Januaey 30. (Before Mr H. A. Young, S.M.) Drunkenness.—Ada Sinclair, who did not appear, was lined 20s, in default 48 hours' imprisonment.—Edward Sydney Bailey JL<*earn pleaded guilty to a charge of drunkenness, Jilso to procuring liquor during the currency of a prohibition order, and resisting Constable xVlacartncy whilo in the execution of his duty at Mornington. 'On the first iniornuition bo was convicted and ordered to pay the amount of the cab hire (7s 6d), and on the second he -was fined 20s, or 48 hours' irhj>risonnient, while on the third he was fined 10s, in default 24 hours' imprisonment. Maintenance.—An application was made by Mr Scurr for a maintenance order against Alexander Nicbo! and Bertram Arthur Dodd JSidio: for the support of their brotherj f ihomos Joseph Nichol, who was in delicate health.—The evidence of the complainant showed that he was practically in a state of destitution.—The Magistrate suggested to the parties that they meet with a view to arriving at a settlement, and iln's was accepted, -the case being adjourned for a fortnight for this purpose.
