(Received Dec. 29, at 0.15 a.m.) Mr Solomon Barnato Joel has bought , out the West Rand interests of Sir Joseph Robinson. The price includes £2,000,(X» in cash. It is the biggest deal in South. Africa since Mr Cecil Rhodes consolidated tho Kimberley diamond fields. It is believed that Mr Joel represents the Bajrv nato syndicate. The purchase includes tfao Randfontein estate, and the Randfontein Central and Landlaagte estate. It mil have a great effect upon the fnture of the West Rand properties.
