(Received July 20, at 10.25 p.m.) , The report of the committee inquiring into the causes of death and invalidity recommends the Federal Government to make it unlawful for anyone not a legallyqualified medical practitioner to treat a venereal disease; that every sufferer be required to consult a doctor, who must notify the appointed health authority, the latter to have power to intern until cured, cases not receiving medical attention; that the publication -of advertisements of remedies be prohibited; if an infected' person marries without previously informing the other party, such act will be ground for a decree of nullity, provided action is taken within a year after marriage, children of which are to be legitimate.
