At the Tool sales there was an average selection, of merinos and fine crossbreds, for which prices were maintained. Low crossbreds "were irregular and in buyers' , favour. There were some withdrawals. Kaputoni clip: Top 34£ d, average 31|d. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received the follow- , ing cablegram from its London office regarding the fifth series of sales. —"Market active. As compared with Bth June, merino ' superior, 5 to 7j< per cent.; medium and inferior, % to 10 per cent.; lambs, 5 pec cont. higher. Crossbred greasy and scoured; medium and coarse, about 5 per cent.; lambs, par to 5 per cent, lower; others, little > change." Messrs Murray, Roberts, and Co. have received tho following wool market cablegram, dated July 19, from their London. \ agents:—" Crossbred, market irregular. Compared with closing rates of last London 6alos, medium and coarse declined 5 to 7£ per cent."
