MEETINGS.

A meeting of the committee of the Victoria League (Otago branch)' was held on Monday afternoon, Mrs Sim presiding. It was decided that the annual meeting of members should be held on the 24th inst. With regard to the Kussian Prisoners' Relief Fund, it was decided that the time for the receipt of the subscription cards should bo extended to May 15. Arrangements were made for placing a memorial wreath on the statue 'if Queen Victoria on tho morning of the 24th. The Kaikorai branch of tho Women's Christian Temperance Union hold its monthly meeting on Friday. Mrs Martin presided. Petitions for the early closing of hotel bars were dealt with. It was also decided to raise a patriotic fund for soldiers' comforts.
