Maben, accountant in the Timani Borough Council office, enb'sted ais a private in the Ambulanoe Division, and has since been promoted to corpoTal, sergeant, and sergeant-major. He is now adjutant-quarter-master, with the rank of lieutenant, and ia attached to the staff of the hospital' ship Maheno, on which' be recently returned from Egypt. Lieutenant Maben is at present in Dunedin. Mr R. A. Hamilton, who enlisted recently, is the sixth son of the late Mr F. Hamilton, of Nelson, to enter the services of his country in connection with the war (says the Mail)., Several members of tho family have seen severe fighting in various theatres of the war.
