A MAN MISSING
WARRANT FOR ARREST ISSUED.
(Peb Ukited P'sess Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 7; A warrant has 'been issued for the arrest of an employee of. the City Council, named William Francis Bert Dunn, who is charged with that, during the last few days, he received a sum of £940 and failed to account to tho council for the money. Ho has been missing since Tuesday afternoon, when he got oft" to arrange his affairs in order to leave with tho Fifteenth Reinforcements on Wednesday. He did not parade, and does not appear to have enlisted. The city does not stand to lose, being protected by a fidelity guarantee. Last Friday _ was the last day of tho council's financial year. Heavy suims were received for rates, and the amount mentioned was short banked.
