GERMAN PRESS COMMENTS. MORE RAIDS PROMISED. ■ AMSTERDAM, April 5. The Cologne Gazette declares that Zeppelins will go to England more and more frequently, and will be armed with increasingly terrible weapons. "The English, who are preventing this awful war from being terminated, will leam from our air raids that the war will bring them even more frightful surprises." (Times an I Sydney Sun Services.) ENEMY PLANES BROUGHT DOWN. GERMAN POSITIONS BOMBED. PARIS, April 5. A communique states: Our scouting aeroplanes in the Verdun district brought down a double-motored aeroplane near Haubfourneaux Pond. Another enemy machine fell near Tilly Wood 1 . A third dived vertically to the ground. A French air squadron dropped 14 bombs on the Natitlois railway station, and five on the Damvillers bivouacs of the enemy. 1

MR, PEMBERTON-BILLING'S OFFER.

NOTED BY WAR OFFICE. ANOTHER ZEPPELIN HIT. LONDON, April 6. (Received April 6, at 10.50 p.m.) In the House of Commons, under cover of a motion for the adjournment of the House, Mr Pemberton-Billing drew attention to th'e Zeppelin danger. He offered personally to organise and lead air raids on Germany. He. believed he would bag as many Zeppelins in a day as the Government hoped to capture in a year. 1 Mr Tennant said the War Office would not neglect Mr Pemberton-Billing's offer. In addition to Ll/>, another Zeppelin was hit on the coast. This was known owing to picking up a message from the commander.
