AN IMPORTANT VICTORY.
POSITION OF GREAT STRENGTH CARRIED. LONDON, April 6. (Received April 6, at 10.50 p.m.) Experts attach the greatest import' ance to the victory at Um*el-Hanah. It was the enemy's main advanced position, and one' of great strength naturally and artificially. It was situated on the north bank, extending fr6m the Tigris to the Snwaicha marshes, thus barring the approach to Kut=el.Amara, 20 miles away.
