IN THE CAUCASUS.
STRONG TURKISH POSITIONS CARRIED.
PETRQGRAD, April 6. (Received April 6, at 10.50 p.m.) A communique states: In a coast region of the- Caucasus, the Turks, supported by the fire of the cruiser Breslau, attacked the Russian right flank, but were repulsed with heavy loss. Simultaneously we attacked the centre and carried part of the Turkish positions. We dislodged the enemy from a series of mountain positions on the Upper Chorckh .basin, which were powerfully organised.
