MAORI HILL FIRE BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of the Maori Hill Fire Board, held yesterday afternoon, was presided over by Mr S. N. Brown. Messrs Turnbull and Jones wrote reporting that they had inspected the fire alarms during the month, and all had registered corrcctly. Superintendent Laurie reported that the usual monthly practice of tho brigade had been carried out with satisfactory results. Tho secretary was instructed to write to the Minister of Internal Affairs asking his advice as to tho position of the board from January 1, when the Maori Hill borough will become part of tho city of Dunedin. •This action is rendered neccssary because no provision is made in the Firo Brigades Act for the amalgamation of Firo Boards.
