From Adelaide the New Zealand Shipping Company's chartered steamer Mamari will proceed on to Melbourne, Sydney, and the four New Zealand main ports. Wel- ' i lington should bo reached about Decembers. i It is reported that the steamer Motti.*font, 4784 tons-, built at Sunderland in ■ ' 1913, and owned by the Century Shipping Company, has been sold to the Russian Volunteer Fleet for about £129,000 The Mottisfont visited Wellington early this 7 year. The old barque Antiope, which was brought to Wellington from Newcastle in August to be converted into a coal hulk for the Paparoa Coal Company, has been resold to a Dunedin firm, and will be surveyed and mado ready for oversea trading again. Advices have been received to the effect that the Commonwealth and Dominion liner L Port Augusta had a serious mishap whilst on her way to Genoa from Australia:. It appears that she was in the Red Sea when ' she struck some submerged obstacle. One of the propeller blades, was oarried away, but otherwise the steamer did- not suffer, i and she reached Genoa unassisted. Arrangements were at once made (says an exchange) for her to dock for repairs, and when the ■work was carried out she left for New York to load for Melbourne and New Zealand ports.
