SHEEPSKIN AND HIDE SALE REPORT.
Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follows:—Wo neld a very successful Bale at Burnsido yesterday of butchers' abattoir sheepskins on account of the Otago Co-operative Tallow and By-products Company. Bidding "was very keen, the prices paid being right up to' the recent high rates. Our top prices -were: Halfbreds, Hid; fine crossbreds, ll|d; crosobrcd, lOgd; threeqnarterbred, IOJd. Quotations: Bost fullwoolled halfbred, llfd to 11JW; medium, lid to best fine crossbred, llld to llgd; best crossbred, IOId to lOJd; medium, lOgd to 10|d; three-quarterbreds, 10|d' to 10|d. Lambskins (this season's), 7|d. Wo also held our fortnightly sale of abattoir hides. Competition was brisk, values ruling firm at previous rates. Our best price in ox hides was llld, and in cows 9£d, whilo in money value ox realised £3 4s 3d per hide and cows £2 3s lid. Quotations: Extra stout heavy ox, lli<i to 12d; stout heavy, lid to 110; medium, 10? d to 10|d; light, to 10|d; stout heavy cow, to 9id; medium and light, to 94d. Best calfskins, to IOJd. Yearlings, to B^d.
