Mails close at the Chief Poet Office, Duo ed:n, as under: —

For Wellington and Main Trunk offices, daily at 6.30 a.m. Late-fees, 0.P.0., 7.40 a.m., mail van 8 a.ni. Also, supplementary mails at 10.30 a.m. Lato-feee, C.P.0.. 10.45 a.m. Guard's \an. 1115 a.m.

For I'almoreton, Uaaiarii, Waimato. Tomuka, Tiinarti, Afihburton, Christchureh, overland daily, at 6.30 a.m. (lato letters C.P.O. 7.40 a-'m., mail van 8 a.m.). and at 10.30 a.m. (lu.it, lottora C:.P.O. 10.45 am., guard's van 11.15 a.m.). For Greymouth. Hokitika, and Reefton. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, at 10.30 a.m.

For United Kingdom (due London August 16), and Australian States and New Guinea (via Wellington), Continent of Kurope, Ceylon, India, Japan, China, Straits Mauritius, South Africa, Mediterranean ports, etc., per North Express, at 10 a.m. Money orders issued till 4 p.m. on Bth inst.. and registered articles received till 9 a.m. on the 9th. Lato letters may be posted at C.P.O. till 10.30 a.m., and on guard's van till 31.15 a.m.

Mails for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji, per Navua, will close at Auckland on Wedneeday, Eth inet., at 8 a.m.

For Avonmouth (England), per Kaipara (direct), will close at Auckland, on Saturday, the llfch inst, at 1.25 p.m. The next best despatch of mails for the United States of America, Canada.
