YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION.

At the Young Men's Christian Association Roams, on Sunday afternoon, an address was delivered by the Rev. E. Adame, of Nascby. Mr Adame said that tho subject of his address was " Procni/st.ination." He told tho story of a boy who had gone into a business man's office, and when asked what hie motto was, he said:

" The sumo as yours, sir." The business man asked what that was, and ho said " Push," for I saw it on tho door as I came in. There can bo no procrastination obout such a. motto as that. Do it now was a good maxim. A drunkard was always going to give up drink <som« day, but because he did not do it at the time, ho went on from bad to worse. Such procrastination showed a lack of earnestness. Pharaoh was afraid, but he was not in earnest, therefore he said to-morrow. Then there wae the story of Felix. When Paul spoke to him his heart opened a little way, but he said not now, but eome more convenient day. It was a bad state. of affairs when we never get any further than going to do**it some day. To-morrow might mean never. The business of procrastination grew on us. It did with Pharaoh. The heart grows harder as we procrastinated. We got into the way oi just going on, and we 'thought, lese of our bad habits. Ho had heard the story of the criminal who was always going to reform, but who never did, and when the time came when he wae to be hung for his offences, hie heart was so much hardened that even in the face of death ho did not realise his position. We not'ded Christ today. We went on from year to yoar, and we never camo to the definite decision. Mr Adams's addr<j?s was much appreciated by the men prtwnt. At the oloso the stranjrdrs' social tea was held as u«iuil.
