HAWKER'S MISHAP. OYATION BY SPECTATORS. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, August 28. While his waterplane was being dismantled Hawker arrived on the scene. The spectators greeted him with an ovation, and carried him on their shoulders Tound the harbour.
Kauper is still in the hospital. His wounds are severe, but he is progressing favourably. (Times-Sydney Sun Special Cables.) LONDON, August 28. Hawker states that had he been at a gieater height he could easily have descended safely. He was making a spiral descent at the time of the mishap. The Times says that Hawker deserves generous praise for- his excellent work. His perseverance and pluck had been worthily recognised by the promoters of the competition,
