TRAINING BRITISH ATHLETES. Prew Asaociatitn—By .Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, August 29. (Received Aug. 29, at 10.10 p.m.) The Olympic Games Committee has published an elaborate programme for the preparation of athletes by the various governing sporting bodies.
It enjoins the necessity of arousing enthusiasm in the schools, of co-operation by the head masters, arranging county championships, triangular English, Scottish, and Irish contests, and assisting affiliated clubs with prizes, all the contests to bo over metric distances.
