GRAIN AND PRODUCE REPORT.

Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report sales during the week as follows:— Wheat: The market is unchanged, prime' velvet and velvet ear still being inquired for. Tuscan is how meeting with better demand. Stocks of fowl wheat are plentiful, and slow of sale. Prime milling velvet, 4s 2d; velvet ear and red chaff, 3s 9d to 3a lOd; Tuscan, 3s 6d to 3s 7d; best whole fowl wheat, 3s sd; medium to good, 3s Id to 3s 3d per bushel (sacks extra). Oats: Tho market is inactive as the growers' idea of value is above tho millers and merchants limits. Millers are inquiring for good heavy Gartons, but the offerings are light. Southland seed oate are in excellent demand, and farmers seem anxious to purchase while good lines arc available. Prime milling Gartons, 2s 3d; good to best feed, 2s to 2s 2d; inferior to medium, Is 9d to lfl lid per bushel (sacks extra). Chaff: Consisnments havo been light during the week. Prime quality is in good demand, but stocks of medium chaff held in store are.meeting with slow sale. We have- sold choice black oaten sheaf at £4 7s 6d; prime white oaten, £4 to £4 ss; medium to good, £3 10s to £3 15s per ton (bags extra). Potatoes: The market is over supplied, and in tho absence of shipping demand, prices are declining. Badly graded and medium lines are arriving froclv. but are almost unsaleable, Choico table potatoes, £4; good, £3 10s to £3 15s; medium, from £3 per ton (sacks included).
