LONDON, July 23.
Arthur Newton, solicitor, whose peculiar transactions have been repeatedly before the public, was sentenced to three years' penal servitude, an<l Berkeley Bennett to 18 months' hard labour, for defrauding Dr Hans Thorsch of £23,000.
