The Times's Washington correspondent says there arc fresh indications that an effort is being made in the United States to divert Australasian meat from Great Britain in order to counteract the rising cost of living in America. Besides providing refrigerating steamers between Sail Francisco and Australia, the Government is sending experts to Australasia to teach the packers there to adapt their goods to the American market. A similar campaign of education will be undertaken in Argentina.
