At tho Sunday morning service in tho Napier Baptist Church the ltov. J. K. Archer announced that ho had received and accepted an invitation to' tho pastorate of tho Baptis* Onurch, Inveroargill, and that ho expected to conclude his ministry in Napier about the middle of October.

A very pleasant function took place on Wednesday ovening in the City Corporation test room, Cumberland street, at which Mr W. Dempster was presented, on his leaving for Wellington, with a handsome traveling rug and a safety razor.
