OTAGO HIGHLAND CLUB.

The second annual general meeting of the Otago Highland Club was held on Wednesday evening in the Victoria Hall. Mr M'lvor (president) occupied tho chair, and there wa6 an excellent attendance of members considering the inclemency of the weather.

In moving tho adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, the Chairman congratulated the club on the successful issue of the year's work, and thanked the numerous ladies and gentlemen who had so kindly and willingly assisted him in carrying out the functions of the club. He asked that the incoming president should be accorded the same whole-hearted support as had been extendod to him.—(Applause.) Mr H. M'Donald seconded the adoption of the annual report and. balancc sheet, the motion being carried unanimously. Tho following office-bearers were elected for tho ensuing year:—President, Mr D. R. Gray; vice-presidents—Messrs A. M'lvor, J. Gillespie, C. Smith, and J. Gray; hon, secretary, Mr F. M'Master; hon. treasurer, Mr C. Smith (re-elected); committee—Messrs J. Robertson, •C. Barker, A. iSmiley, Allan M'Kcnaic, A. Honeyman, W. Lefeuvrc, J. Smith, A. Keith, P. Wilson; hon. piper, ; Mr Archie M'Millan; masters of ceremonies : —Messrs Allan M'Kcnzie, A. Honcyma.n, j and J. Smith.

At tho conclusion of the business an enjoyable social hour was spent, the following contributing items;— Misses Duncan (duet, " The crooked bawbee"), Mis A. M'lvor (Gaelic song). The national music was supplied by Pipers M'Millan Bros.
