POST OFFICE NOTICES.

Mails closo at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, as under:—

For Wellington and. Main Trunk offices, 6.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. For Palmereton, Oamaru, Waimate, Temuka, Timaru, Askburton, Christchurch, iverland daily, at 6.30 a.m. (late letters C.P.O. 7.40 a.m., moil van 8 a.m.), and at 10.30 a.m. (late letters C.P.O. 10.45 a.m., guard's van 11.15 a.m.). For Greymouth. Hokitika, and Reefcon, Monday, Wednesday, and, Friday, at 10.30 a.m.

For Invercnrgill and intermediate offices daily at 7.30 a.m. (late letters C.P.O. 8 a.m., on mail van at 8.25 a.m.). and at 3.45 p.m. (late letters C.P.O. 4 p.m., guard's van 4.25-p.ni,). , For Oamaru. Timaru. and intermediate offices, daily at 2.30 p.m. (late letters on guard's van 3.18 p.m.). For Cromwell, Clyde, Ranfurl.y, and intermediate offices, daily at 6.30 a.m. (late letters on guard's van 7.45 a.m.)

Lato-fee letters must bear Id in addition to the ordinary postage. Registered lettor mails close one hour and newspaper mails 30 minutes earlier than ordinary letter mails.

Note.—The public are earnestly requested to "register" all letters containing money or valuables intended to be sent by post. THIS DAY (WEDNESDAY), JULY 23. For Lyttelton and Christchurch, per Maunganui, at 1.30 p.m. Latc-fee letters 2.30 p.m. train. Dihect Service. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, etc., via Montevideo and Teneriffe (due in London September 4), per North Express 6.30 a.m. Correspondence fbr the United Kingdom and Continent of Europe must bo specially addressed "Per Remuera." THURSDAY. JULY 24. Feperal Sebvice. , For United Kingdom (duo London August 31), and Australian States and Now Guinea (via Wellington), Continent 'of Europe, Ceylon, India, Japan, China, Straits Settlements, Mauritius, South Africa, Med : - terranean ports, etc.. per North Express at 10 a.m. Money orders issued till 4 p.m. on 23rd, and registered articles received till 9 a-m. on the 24th. Late letters may be posted at C.P.O. ti'l 10.30 a.m., and on guard's van till 11.15 a.m. MONDAY, JULY 28. For Rarotonga and Tahiti, per Navua. via Auckland, at 6.20 a.m. Wji.
