AMATEUR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Otago Centre of tho New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was held last evening, Mr E. A. Rosevear presiding. The following delegates were present :—Messrs C. Andrews, Metcalfe, Brook, Reid, Kitchin, G. Richardson, Spain, Ferens, Hastie, and List. Mr G. Scott, secretary of the Wellington Centre, notified that tho New Zealand championships had been allotted to Weland would be held on February 15. —Received.
It was resolved to hold a 220 yds Championship of Otago as a trial, arrangements to be made, to hold the same at the D.A.A.C. evening meeting on Friday, 24th. It was moved by Mr List, and seconded by Mr V. Reid—"That the centre make application for the control of this year's Cross-country Championship of New Zealand."—The motion was carried unanimously.
It was also decided, on tho motion of Mr Reid, seconded by Mr Andrews, to hold a mile trial the same evening, and that the following be asked to compete:—J. Beatson, G. M'Knight, G. T. Notman, E. Kelly, M. Mikelson,
_ Preliminary arrangements as 'to the selection of a team, etc., were left to a subcommittee to report to the special meeting of the centre.
