CLUTHA AND MATAU A. & P. SOCIETY.

HORSE PARADE. The Clulha and Matau Agricultural and Pastoral Society held its annual horso parade on the show ground, Uiilclntim, on Wednesday afternoon. Tho weather was line, and there was a largo attendance of farmers and others interested. Fifteen draught and six light horses were shown. Tho judges wore Messrs A. Lnwrio and A. Gawn (of Mosgiol). Tho following is tho prize-list:— Entire draught horse, four years old and upwards—Mr Tiios. Bishop's (Balclutha) Major Stewart, by Captain Stewart (imp.), dam 'Lady Cronboiirne, by Lord Cranbourne, 1 and champion; Mr \V. Charters'* (Mosgiel) Orphan Boy, by Wco Macgregor. dam Queen, by King of Clans, 2; Mr Geo. Tosh's (Balclutha) Princo Daniel, by Prince Andrew (imp.), dam Daisy Bell, by Shepherd I,ad, 3. The following woro also shown:—Messrs Bcgg Bros.' Socialist, Mr R. Robson!s Micgrcgor, Mr Jas. Sim's Curler. Mr J. Robnuon's Royal Derby, Mr John Kirkness's Fitzroy, and Mr George Tosh's (ilenleary. Messrs Muir and Rondall's Baron Everest was on exhibition only.
