SCHOONER BADLY KNOCKED

AUCKLAND, September 6.
The schooner. Elf ride, owned by the D.H.P.U. Company, which was recently overhauled at Auckland at a cost of about £1800, went on a reef at Nukualofa during tho might about a fortnight ago. Sho bumped over several reefs and sank in the lagoon.- Tho crew got ashore safely. The schooner was subsequently got ashore in a battered condition.
