MEN'S PERSONAL WORKERS' ASSOCIATION.

One of the rosuks of the ChapmanAlexander Mission has boon the formation of un association among business men which has as its object personal dealing by men with men. A meeting of those in tcrostod was held on Wednesday evening in tho Y.M.C.A. rooms, and was well attended. An interesting time was spent, the earlier part of the evening being dovoted to prayer, to whijh there was a ready response. Tho constitution of the new as>o cult ion was then considered, anil nearly two hours were spent by the members lii debuting and discussing tho beat grounds u;x>n which to work. interest shown by tJiose present was very groat, and augurs well for the success of the movement. It is intended to commence brunch associations in all the various Christian organtMtions, all branches bring affiliated with the central body, so that by the time !)r Chapman visit* New Zealand next year a very strong body of men should be formal pledged to personal work among the unsaved. A general mooting for the purpose of consecration will be announced 1 at an early date. Mr J. A. Stephens, the singing evangelist, was appointed organising representative for the Oiago district during his corning evangelistic tour into the country.
