When washing a pastry-board, always scrub with sand, working tho way of the grain of tho wood. In this way tho dirt is removed without ncratching" the, ourface. Tho sand should be washed off with plenty of cold water, tho board wiped with a dean cloth; and then left out in the air to dry.
