, A SUCCESSUFL SESSION. j (From Oor Own Correspondent,) WELLINGTON, July 14. l The seventh Dental Conference con eluded its sittings her this afternoon and tho southern members leave by to night's steamer. The present conferenci has been most successful, both in regarc to attendance of members, the genera interest in the proceedings, the high stan dard of the papers read, and the ex ccllence of tile clinics. Interest in tin j institute throughout the Dominion seemi 3 to be increasing, and there can be nt doubt that it is doing excellent worl both in raising the standard of the pro fession in the matter of efficiency and ir I educating the public to the necessity thai exists for the care of the teeth fron childhood onwards. One aim of the in stitute is to obtain dental as well ai r medical examination of children in tlx | public school. Much, it is held, can b( I done in this matter to benefit the race while good result* would also follow fron the teaching of the plain truths of denta , hygiene to the pupils. The examination! , of young men for military training now * proceeding would 6eem to indicate thai the wishes of the Dental Association ir this matter should be given very seriout „ consideration.
