RAILWAY EXTENSION.
DEPUTATION TO THE HON. T.
MACKENZIE.
(Per United Press association.) CHRISTCHUItCH, March 23. On Wednesday a deputation lrom the Culverden Railway l.cagve waited on the Hon. T. Mackenzie, urgirg the mcersity of a 15-mile extension of i.h2 inihwy to Waiau. The interview wa.3 veiy lengthy. The Minister said the matter was mo:c particularly in the department of tihe Hon. B. M'Kcnzie, and wi's l'rrely one of ways and means. He could irake no promises, but he would lay the matter before Cabinet with his favourable impressions of the district.
