WEDNESDAY'S ELECTIONS.
APATHY IN CHRISTCHURCH. (Per Uslteu Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 17. The number of .persons who recorded their voles at the election yesterday of representatives ot tiie city on Ihc Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was 1953. The gros.s total on the rolls is 18,021, but when there are deducted the nanies which have bsen struck off it- is probable that the net total of votes that, could liave been cast would be about 17,000 Odd. Owing to a telephone error a mistake was made in the results of the Hospital Board election. Mr Sorensen replaces Mr Gapes. Three county results have still to come.
