FIRE AT HASTINGS,
(Per United Press Association.) HASTINGS. March 17. A 13-roomed house, owned and occupied by Mrs E. Bamforlh, was totally destroyed by tire yesterday afternoon. The cause is unknown. Mrs IJamforth was absent in Wellington, and the remainder of the family were away at the time of the outbreak. A quantity of furniture w;:s saved. The insurance on the building was £250 in the National, and the furniture was insured for £200 in the Alliance oflicc.
