ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
(Per United Pbess Association.) FEILING, March 8. An inquest was held touching the death of W. A. Sandilands. The evidenco showed that the collision was caused by deceased and tho other cyclist riding without lights. The jury returned a verdict of accidental death, and added a rider that the by-law regarding riding without lights should be strictly enforced. ' WELLINGTON, March 8. At the inquest on W. M'Cullough, late general manager of the Wellington branch of the Bank of New South Wales, who died suddenly yesterday, a verdict was returned that death was due to heart disease. Inquiries made at tho Hospital last night elicited the information that the lttle girl Madge Cook, who was seriously burned at Sawyers' Bay on Saturday, is improving, and that Thomas Edmond, injured at the quarry accident at the Heads on Monday, is progressing satisfactorily. No particular improvement is reported in the case of Miss Watts, the victim of the gun accident at Palmerston.
