VOTE OF CENSURE ON EXECUTIVE. Press Association—By Telecrnph—Copyright LONDON, March 8. (Received Match 8, at 10.45 p.m.) _ At a ballot of Northumberland miners it was decided by a largo majority not to confirm the executive's suggestion for ending the dispute. This practically amounts to a vote of censure on the executive for •stopping the strike pay and ordering the strikers at 14 collieries to resume work. DIMINISHING TRADE. LONDON, March 8. (Received March 8, at 10.45 p.m.) The coal .exports of South Wales for the year ended February, 1910, decreased by 260,827 tons, foreign firms securing contracts at the, expense of the Welsh trade.
A BISHOP'S COUNSEL, ! NATIONAL CONFERENCE. LONDON, March 8. (Received March 9, at 0.20 a.m.) The Bishop of Llandaff urges the disputants in. the South Wales coal strike to come to an agreement. He points out that thousands of railwaymen;. dockers, tinplate men, iron and steel workers, and shopkeepers are dependent on the coal trade, and there is a likelihood of the trade being diverted to other channels. He counsels the miners to trust their old and. experienced leaders. Tho National Conference to consider the position, in South Wales opens on Wednesday. ,
