THE MITCHELL LIBRARY. Press Association—By Telegraph— Copyright SYDNEY, March 8. (Received March 8, at 9.20 p.m.) Lord Chelmsford opened the Mitchell Library. A handsome stone building has been erected by the Government in Macquarie street to house the library which was bequeathed to the State by Mr David Scott Mitchell. It consists" of over 60,000 books, many valuable ,MSS., objects of art, and pictures, and -'s altogether the finest collection of records of' Australia history in existence.
